Hi.

Welcome to my creative adventure.

I Hope you have a nice stay!

DIY : The beauty and the beast: The lamp

DIY : The beauty and the beast: The lamp

Hello from freezing Norway guys! Today the temperature got down below freezing point and I lit though I would loose a bodypart riding my bike to work. Luckily both me and my beloved bodyparts survived the adventurous trip, and after a cup of coffee, or was it three?, I almost forgot about the dreadfulness rumbling outside. Unfortunately I had to crawl all the way back home few hours later. Full aware of the fact that I looked like a wet and hungry dog as I dragged my bike up those steep hills.

I came. I saw. I conquered.

Finally at home, and honestly what's not to love about horrifying weather? Because we all know that means more time for DIYs! Hurray. And luckily, the other day I got my hands on this old, quite charming lamp on Finn.no. Even though it was a cute lamp, I wanted it to become more of a industrial lamp. So I did the following few steps, and was left with a quite unique result …

1) I screwed off the light bulb and gently removed the lampshade. 2) I then removed all of the loose remaining lampshade parts. 3) Sprayed the plug in a gold shimmery color. 4) Gave the lamp a nice finish with an oversized light bulb.

This is the final result …
